Highlights from the 2017-2018 School Year
The year brought more field trips to Seattle for students to explore the theater, the Seattle Aquarium, the iFLly Motion Lab, and use robot kits in the classroom. At iFly students use their math and science skills to calculate wind speeds and body mass so they experience an indoor skydiving experience. Talk about unforgettable!
Computer-assisted drawing (CAD) is available for older students as they gain mastery of their digital skills. The Joyce Community Education Foundation provided the 3D printer and supplies to help. After a year and a half of fundraising, the Crescent School Weight Room was completed. Replacing 30 year old equipment, with modern, safe, and well-designed units required the efforts of many. The Seattle Foundation, the Gossett Foundation, the First Federal Foundation, the JCEF, and our community all provided the resources for this state-of-the-art facility.
