2022-2023 JCEF Grant Projects
Mini GrantsElementary mini grants provided student supplies for writing, painting, and binders to keep work organized. The Logger Store was stocked with more school supplies that students would earn through classroom efforts. A memorable project involving math, history, writing, and art—culminated in students crafting blankets to be sent to a dog sled team competing in the Iditarod race. Gossett funding brought resources to every classroom.

Technology for TeensIt was the year of technology and Gossett funding provided the new gear and supplies. Middle school students enjoyed several science projects that put their engineering and math skills to work. They constructed a mini-golf course, made tabletop water fountains, and utilized 3D skills to make a Tech Deck Mini Park.
Education is changing with technology. Classrooms are becoming opportunity centers to discover how technology works and then using these skills to develop proficiency in many areas of learning. . |
Kindness ProjectsStudents enjoyed art in a way that brought messages of kindness to all. Painted rocks expressed kindness and encouragement in their community. Thanks to the Haller Foundation, paints and supplies were purchased so that our after-school students could enjoy spreading the kindness with rock-messages. These are the activities that encourage students and help them learn to love learning.
